WP Series Operating Environment – Temperature, Lubrication & Conditions
The WP series worm gear reducer is built with a cast iron housing for durability in harsh environments. However, operating conditions directly impact performance and service life.
Temperature Limits
| Condition | Requirement |
| Standard operating range | -10°C to +40°C |
| Below 0°C | Heat lubricating oil to above 0°C before startup |
| Above 40°C | Apply cooling measures |
| High temperature (>60°C) | Use synthetic oil (PAO-based) |
Lubrication Guidelines
●Standard environment (-10°C to 40°C) : Use L-CKC 220 lubricating oil
●Humid environments: Consider enhanced protection to prevent internal corrosion
●Initial oil change: After first 400 hours of operation
●Regular oil change: Every 4,000 hours thereafter
Input Speed Limit
WP worm shaft speed must not exceed 1500 r/min – exceeding this limit accelerates wear and reduces service life
