Screw Jack Type 1 – Screw Moves Axially

In Type 1 screw jack structure, the worm gear is threadedly connected to the screw. When the worm gear rotates, the screw rotates and moves axially simultaneously – the nut remains fixed in the housing.

How It Works

  • The worm drives the worm gear

  • The worm gear's internal threads engage with the screw

  • The screw rotates and extends/retracts linearly

  • The load is connected to the moving screw end

Type 1 is commonly used when the load needs to move with the screw – ideal for lifting platforms, scissor lifts, and height adjustment systems.
