Screw Jack Accessories – What You Need and When
A screw jack is not always a complete system right out of the box. Depending on your application, you may need additional accessories to ensure proper function, safety, and longevity.
Do you need anti rotation slots
*When installing the elevator, it is necessary to fix the head of the screw. If the head of the screw is not fixed, the screw will only rotate in place and will not lift or lower! *If there is no way to fix the screw head and there is no load, then anti rotation grooves should be added
Common accessories for screw lift and screw jack
How to Decide
Ask yourself these three questions:
Where is it installed? – Dusty/wet → add bellows. Cleanroom → no bellows needed.
How is it controlled? – Automated → add limit switches, encoder, motor adapter. Manual → add handwheel.
What happens if it fails? – Overhead lifting → MUST add safety nut. Ground-level positioning → safety nut optional.
