Principles for selecting lubricating oil for reducers
1、 Choose based on the work environment:
Temperature: Environmental temperature is an important factor in selecting lubricating oil. For example, in an environment of -10 ° C to 15 ° C, it is recommended to use No. 68 gear oil; It is recommended to use 150 grade gear oil in an environment between 0 ° C and 30 ° C.
Speed: In high-speed environments (such as speeds above 100 revolutions per minute), it is recommended to use low viscosity oil; In low-speed environments (such as speeds below 100 revolutions per minute), it is recommended to use high viscosity oil (such as 100 or 220).
Select according to the type of gearbox:
Universal reducer: Usually uses 46 # gear oil, which has good anti-wear and anti-oxidation properties.
High temperature environment: It is recommended to use oil with a viscosity of 68 or higher to ensure thermal stability and sintering resistance.
Adverse environment: In high humidity and high salt spray environments, lubricating oil with anti rust and anti-corrosion properties should be selected,
2、 Common lubricating oil models
Gear oil model:
68 gear oil: suitable for low temperature environments and high-speed working conditions.
100 # gear oil: suitable for medium and low-speed working conditions.
150 # gear oil: suitable for medium to high temperature environments and high-speed working conditions.
220 gear oil: suitable for low-speed and high load conditions.
Lubricating grease model:
Lithium based grease: suitable for the inlet and outlet shaft seals of Flender reducers, with good high temperature resistance and sealing performance.
Fully synthetic sealing silicone grease or fluorosilicone grease: suitable for sealing needs in high-temperature environments.
