Selection of worm gear jack elevator: trapezoidal screw or ball screw?
Worm gear jacks/screw lifts are divided into two types based on the type of screw, and selecting the wrong one may affect the overall performance of the machine.
1.Trapezoidal screw lift/hydraulic jack
| Efficiency: 30%~50% | |
| Self locking: Yes (when installed vertically) | |
| Speed: Slow (generally ≤ 50mm/s) | |
| Applicable to: | Occasions that require intermittent work, long-term positioning, and high safety requirements, such as stereo garages and stage lifts |
2.Ball screw lift/screw jack lifting system
| Efficiency: Over 90% | |
| Self locking: None (must be equipped with a brake motor) | |
| Speed: Fast (up to 1.5m/s) | |
| Applicable to: | Frequent start stop, high-speed lifting, and continuous working environments, such as automated production lines and fast stacking |

Summary: To achieve self-locking and low-speed overload, choose a trapezoidal shape; Choose ball bearings frequently for efficiency and high speed.
