Common mistakes made when purchasing a gearbox for the first time

The following typical errors are most likely to occur when purchasing a gearbox for the first time, which directly affect the long-term stability of the equipment:

1、 Selection parameter class error

Only looking at the rated torque, completely ignoring the instantaneous impact torque generated by start stop and load sudden changes, without reserving a basic safety margin of 15% -20%, the safety factor under high impact conditions is less than 2.0, and the equipment is quickly worn and scrapped due to long-term overload.

Confusing the adaptation scenarios of different models and replacing helical gear reducers with ordinary worm gear reducers for heavy-duty continuous production lines can lead to gear cracking faults in a short period of time.

2、 Operating condition adaptation error

Completely copying the selection plan of the room temperature workshop, no downgrading selection is made in high-temperature environments above 40 ℃, and high-temperature resistant lubricating oil is not replaced. The equipment has insufficient heat dissipation and frequent overheating alarms.

Without checking the installation space dimensions, the purchased gearbox does not match the original equipment base hole position, requiring additional modification of the rack, significantly increasing installation costs

3. Blindly pursuing low prices, ignoring differences in material technology and assembly accuracy, and buying products that replace alloy gears with inferior ordinary steel, tooth breakage occurred in less than six months.

Excessive selection of high torque and high-end models leads to a significant increase in equipment weight and operating energy consumption, resulting in unnecessary waste of resources.
