1. Installation method: Choose foot installation, flange installation (B5/B14), or torsion arm installation

according to the equipment space. B5 flange is a common standard for directly connecting IEC motors.

2. Interface size: It is necessary to check whether the diameter and keyway of the motor output shaft

match the input flange or input shaft hole of the reducer. This is a highly error prone part of the

selection process.

⚠️ Common errors and precautions

Relying solely on power selection: incorrect. We must first check if the torque is sufficient.

Neglecting efficiency: The efficiency of the two-stage reducer is relatively low, and it must be considered

when calculating the motor power.

Ignoring physical interfaces: Even if the power and speed ratio are correct, the flange and shaft diameter

cannot be installed without matching.

Safety factor: For applications with impact loads, a safety factor of 1.2-1.5 must be used.
