NMRV Reducer Motor Matching Guide | AC, Single-Phase & Servo
This guide provides clear pairing solutions and critical pitfalls to avoid for three common motor types, helping you achieve stable, long-lasting transmission performance.
1. Single-Phase Motor Matching Solution
Applicable Range: Fits NMRV030 to NMRV063 frame sizes, perfectly matching 0.1~2.2kW small-power single-phase motors with standard 63B5~90B5 round flanges.
Pitfall to Avoid: Single-phase motors have large starting torque fluctuations. You must reserve a torque safety factor of over 1.3, to prevent impact damage to the worm gear tooth surface during frequent start-stop cycles.
2. 3-Phase AC Motor Matching Solution
Applicable Range: Covers the full NMRV series from NMRV030 to NMRV150, compatible with 0.09~11kW standard 3-phase motors, supporting all standard B5/B14 round flanges.
Pitfall to Avoid: You must replace the transport sealing plug with a vent plug before operation. This prevents excessive internal pressure inside the housing, which is the top cause of oil leakage during long-time continuous running.

3. Servo Motor Matching Solution
Applicable Range: Fits NMRV040 to NMRV110 frame sizes, matching 0.2~6kW servo motors. You need to select the low-backlash customized version, with backlash controlled within 15 arc minutes to meet positioning accuracy requirements.
Pitfall to Avoid: The reducer's peak allowable torque must be at least 3 times the servo motor's peak torque. Otherwise, tooth breakage failure will easily occur during frequent acceleration and deceleration cycles.
