The most common combination is a 1400 RPM single phase motor with an NMRV050 at 40:1 ratio,
producing 35 RPM output — ideal for cement mixers and conveyor applications.
Selection Formula:
●Ratio = Motor RPM ÷ Desired Output RPM
●Example: 1400 RPM ÷ 35 RPM = 40:1

3. Forgetting self-locking behavior – Ratios 30:1 and above are self-locking — the load cannot back-drive
