JW Series Screw Jack – JWM (Trapezoidal) & JWB (Ball Screw)
JW series screw jack - JWM trapezoidal/JWB ball screw type
The JW series is a screw jack series originating from Japanese standards. It is divided into two main types: JWM (trapezoidal screw) and JWB (ball screw)
1、 Comparison of core parameters
| Comparison Item | JWM (Trapezoidal Screw Type) | JWB (Ball Screw Type) |
| Transmission Efficiency | 30%~50% | ≥90% |
| Positioning Accuracy | ±0.5mm / 300mm | ±0.05mm / 300mm |
| Rated Load Range | 0.5t ~ 100t | 0.5t ~ 50t |
| Standard Stroke Range | 100mm ~ 1000mm | 100mm ~ 2000mm |
| Max Input Speed | ≤1500r/min | ≤3000r/min |
| Self-locking Feature | Built-in reverse self-locking | No self-locking, brake device required |
2、 Comparison of advantages and disadvantages
JWM trapezoidal screw type
Advantages: Simple structure, low cost, built-in reverse self-locking, strong impact resistance, low maintenance threshold.
Disadvantages: Low transmission efficiency, slow operating speed, and rapid wear and tear due to long-term high-frequency use.
JWB ball screw model
Advantages: High transmission efficiency, smooth operation with low noise, high positioning accuracy, and long service life.
Disadvantages: High procurement cost, no reverse self-locking, weak impact resistance, high requirements for lubrication and cleaning.
3、 Applicable scenarios
JWM trapezoidal screw model: suitable for low-speed, low-frequency, and heavy-duty working conditions, such as manual lifting of heavy equipment, support of large platforms, and long-term static positioning scenarios.
JWB ball screw model: suitable for high-frequency, high-precision, and medium light load working conditions, such as synchronous lifting of automated production lines, precise detection platform adjustment, and high-speed reciprocating motion scenarios.
