Screw Jack Type 2 – Nut Moves Axially

In Type 2 screw jack structure, the worm gear is keyed to the screw. When the worm gear rotates, the screw rotates in place while the nut moves axially along the screw

How It Works

  • The worm drives the worm gear

  • The worm gear is keyed to the screw – they rotate together

  • The screw rotates but does not move axially

  • The nut travels up and down the rotating screw

  • The load is connected to the moving nut
