F Series Parallel Shaft Gearbox – Complete Motor Selection Guide

The selection of the motor for the F-series reducer needs to be comprehensively judged based on three core dimensions: reducer parameters, load conditions, and installation adaptability. The following is a complete selection guide:

1、 Power adaptation range

The F series reducer can be matched with motor power ranging from 0.12kW to 200kW, with clear power limits for different machine base sizes. For example, F67 can adapt to motors with a power limit of about 5.5kW, while F107 can support motors in the range of 2.2kW to 45kW. The selected motor power cannot exceed the maximum allowable input power indicated on the reducer sample.

2. Speed matching requirements

The rated input speed of the motor adapted to the conventional F-series reducer is mainly 1400r/min (4-pole motor), but it can also be adapted to 6-pole and 8-pole low-speed motors. It is necessary to ensure that the rated speed of the motor is within the allowable input speed range of the reducer to avoid overspeed operation that may cause gear wear to worsen.

3.Selection of working conditions: ordinary three-phase asynchronous motors are used for conventional scenarios, variable frequency motors are used for speed regulation scenarios, servo motors are used for high-precision control scenarios, and explosion-proof/waterproof motors with corresponding protection levels are selected for flammable, explosive/humid and dusty scenarios.

4. Installation verification: Prioritize the B5/B14 standard flange direct connection motor, and select the foot motor for separate installation. Check in advance that the shaft diameter, flange size, and gearbox input interface match.

5. Safety verification: The peak torque of the motor shall not exceed the maximum allowable torque of the reducer. If there is a need for braking and position feedback, an additional motor with a brake and encoder can be selected.
