Screw Jack Assembly Types – A (Upward) vs B (Downward)
Each screw jack structure type (Type 1 and Type 2) is available in two assembly configurations – Type A and Type B. These determine the direction of movement.
Type A – Upward Movement
In Type A assembly, the screw (or nut) moves upward
The working end of the screw is positioned above the gearbox
The screw extends upward when activated
Ideal for lifting applications
Type B – Downward Movement
In Type B assembly, the screw (or nut) moves downward
The working end of the screw is positioned below the gearbox
The screw extends downward when activated
Ideal for pushing down or suspended applications
How to Choose
