Three phase induction motors/gear reduction motors for pumps, conveyors, and compressors
Three-phase induction motors are the default drive for continuous industrial loads because they are self-starting, compact, and efficient above roughly 1 hp. The motor you choose should follow the load’s torque and duty profile—not the other way around.
220V 110V 50Hz-60Hz 0.25kw to 10kw single-phase AC motor
| Application | Load behaviour | Motor consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Centrifugal pump | Quadratic torque, continuous duty | 4-pole, IE3, inverter-ready for flow control |
| Conveyor | High starting torque, frequent starts | Higher service factor, check starting method |
| Screw compressor | Stable load, high hours | 2-pole or 4-pole, premium efficiency |
| Fan / HVAC | Variable torque, long runtime | VFD-compatible, IP55 enclosure |
For pumps and fans, variable-speed duty is common; for conveyors, verify whether direct-on-line starting is permitted or a star-delta / soft starter is required. A motor oversized by 10–15 % is usually safer than one running at 100 % load continuously
