Product Overview:
A steering gearbox, also known as a commutator or steering unit, is a power transmission mechanism.
Steering gearboxes are standardized and available in various specifications. Speed ratios of 1:1, 1.5:1, 2:1,
2.5:1, 3:1, 4:1, and 5:1 are all actual transmission ratios, with an average efficiency of 98%.
Product Structure:
1. Housing: Made of high-rigidity FC-25 cast iron;
2. Gears: Made of 20CrMnTi alloy steel, heat-treated, carburized, quenched, and ground;
3. Main Shaft: Made of 40Cr alloy steel, heat-treated, with high load-bearing capacity;
4. Bearings: Equipped with heavy-duty tapered roller bearings;
5. Oil Seals: Imported double-lip oil seals, providing dust and leak prevention.
Performance Characteristics:
1. Spiral bevel gear steering gearboxes are available in single-shaft, double-horizontal-shaft,
single-vertical-shaft, and double-vertical-shaft configurations.
2. The gearbox can operate in both directions, providing smooth transmission at low
and high speeds with low noise, minimal vibration, and high load-bearing capacity.
3. When the speed ratio is not 1:1, horizontal input and vertical output result in deceleration,
while vertical input and horizontal output result in acceleration.
Technical Parameters:
Speed Ratio Range: 1:1 1.5:1 2:1 2.5:1 3:1 4:1 5:1
Torque Range: 11.2 — 5713 Nm
Power Range: 0.014 — 335 kW
Lubrication:
1. During the initial two weeks or 100-200 hours of use, the initial wear period may occur,
resulting in a small amount of metallic wear particles. Please clean the interior and replace the lubricating oil.
2. For long-term use, change the lubricating oil every six months to one year or every 1000-2000 hours.
3. The steering gearbox lubricant should be China Petroleum gear oil at 90-120 degrees Celsius.
For low speed and light load conditions, it is recommended to use 90-degree gear oil.
For heavy load and high temperature conditions, it is recommended to use 120-degree gear oil.
