The Huxing brand RV reducer (Rotate Vector Reducer) is a two-stage precision reducer.
It is developed from the traditional cycloidal pinwheel planetary reducer,
combining the advantages of planetary gear transmission and cycloidal pinwheel transmission.
Key features of the RV reducer: high rigidity, high load capacity; high precision
high rotational accuracy (small backlash); high reduction ratio, high torque, small size
low vibration, and smooth operation.
For these reasons, it is widely used in high-end manufacturing fields such as industrial
robot joints (especially heavy-load parts such as the base, upper arm, and shoulder)
CNC machine tools, and aerospace.
In industrial robots, servo motors provide high-speed but low-torque rotation
while the robot's joints require low-speed, high-precision
high torque to stably support and move the arm.
The RV reducer perfectly acts as a "torque amplifier" and "speed regulator,"
ensuring both precise and stable robot movements.
RV reducers offer several significant advantages: their rigidity is increased by 2-3 times
and their torsional stiffness is more than 3 times that of traditional reducers;
they provide higher transmission accuracy, with backlash controllable within 1 arcminute;
they have greater load-bearing capacity, transmitting greater torque within the same volume;
and they have a longer service life, typically exceeding 8000-10000 hours.
These characteristics make RV reducers particularly
suitable for joint components in industrial robots where precision, rigidity, and reliability are extremely high.
The basic features can be summarized as follows:
1) If the transmission mechanism is housed within the supporting main bearing of the planetary carrier
the axial dimension of this transmission device can be significantly reduced.
2) Employing a two-stage reducer mechanism
the cycloidal pinwheel planetary transmission in the lower speed stage is smoother.
Furthermore, the increased number of bearings in the swing arm and the decrease
in the relative speed between the inner and outer rings also significantly extend its lifespan.
3) With proper design, high motion accuracy and minimal backlash can be achieved.
4) The output mechanism of the RV transmission uses a rigid disc supported at both ends
providing greater rigidity and significantly improved impact resistance
compared to the output mechanism of a typical cycloidal reducer.
5) Wide transmission ratio range. Even with the cycloidal gear teeth remaining constant
various transmission ratios can be obtained by changing only the involute gear teeth.
The transmission ratio ranges from 31 to 171.
6) High transmission efficiency, with a transmission efficiency of 0.85-0.92.
