3 phase gear motor wiringFAQ:

Q1: Can this 3‑phase gear motor work with both 220V and 380V power supply?

A: Most of our three‑phase gear motors support dual‑voltage operation. Change the star‑delta connection inside the terminal box: star(Y‑X‑Z connected together) for 380V input, delta(U‑Z, V‑X, W‑Y linked) for 220V three‑phase input. Never mix‑up the connection mode, otherwise the motor winding will burn out.

Q2: What will happen if I make wrong star‑delta wiring?

A: Incorrect connection causes overheating, loud noise, winding burnout or instant motor damage. Please double‑check terminal connections before power‑on.

Q3: Do I need to add thermal overload protection for gear motor?

A: Highly recommended for continuous‑running equipment like conveyors. Thermal relay prevents overcurrent damage and extends the whole unit service life.
